San Joaquin County Bar Association offers mentorship program
The Barristers
and Women Lawyers sections of the San Joaquin County Bar Association teamed up
to offer a newly created mentorship program. The program pairs attorneys with
seven or more years of experience with those who have been in the profession
for five years or less. The purpose of the program is to elevate the
competence, professionalism, and success of the San Joaquin County Bar through
positive mentoring relationships.
Orange County creates health care law section
The Orange County Bar
Association (OCBA) officially launched its newest section for health care law.
The section will provide networking and education for health care attorneys including
presentations on hot topics such as the Stark Law, false claims, HIPAA, HITECH,
EMTALA, medical malpractice, antitrust, anti-kickback, compliance, health care
reform, Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care and more. The inaugural meeting of the
Health Care Law Section is set for Sept. 13, 2012.
Orange County launches ‘mobile member’ app
The Orange County Bar
Association (OCBA) has launched a mobile application to allow its members to
access and update their member information, register for new events, view
upcoming section meetings, stay current on the latest news and more – all from
a smart phone, tablet or other mobile device. To preview, navigate your mobile
