CYLA representative to bar board

State Bar Rule 6.9 would be amended to state that a member of the California Young Lawyers Association seeking election to the board of governors must be a CYLA member at the time of his or her election rather than at the time of taking office. Lawyers are eligible to belong to CYLA until their 37th birthday or the end of their fifth year of active status. The amendment would make the rule consistent with statute and is retroactive to April 10.
