For the second year in a row, the July bar
exam results hit a low point. This year’s pass rate of 46.6 percent was the
lowest for that exam since 1986.
Bar associations across the state are incorporating pro bono
and low-fee services into their lawyer referral programs.

legal education requirements did more poorly in the audit, preliminary

The bills for the 2016 State Bar annual
membership fees are being mailed to members Dec. 1. The deadline for
payment is Feb. 1.
